Musiikkiopintonsa Päijät-Hämeen konservatoriossa ja Sibelius-Akatemiassa suorittanut Korhonen on työskennellyt musiikinopettajana Lahdessa vuosina 1973-99 ja sittemmin vapaana taiteilijana.<br /> <br /> Vuodesta 1997 toimineen Pro Canto –kuoron johtajana tunnettu Korhonen on sovittanut musiikkia lukemattomille laulajille: Karita Mattila, Matti Salminen, Lilli Paasikivi, Mika Pohjonen, Tapani Kansa, Eino Grön, Arja Koriseva, Anna Eriksson, Susanna Haavisto, Lea Laven, Jorma Kääriäinen, Neon2, Jari Sillanpää, Petri Hervanto ja Pentti Hietanen ovat vain osa pitkää listaa.
